Day 01: UK – Dover – Ferry – Calais – Paris (300km from Calais)

Arrive at your dedicated pick-up point where you receive a warm welcome from your tour director. Here we board the coach and head to Dover and its famous white cliffs before boarding the ferry to Calais. From Calais, we continue our journey towards Paris.

Day 01: Paris – R.Seine Cruise

Meet up with rest of the passengers joining into Europe directly at Paris. Pick up and transfer from Paris airport for approximately 15:00hours. Upon joining both groups, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the River Seine. You will be enchanted as you pass by many of the Parisian monuments including the Alexander II Bridge, the Orsay Museum, the National Assembly and Paris’ own Statue of Liberty. Tonight, enjoy an exciting optional Paris by night.

Day 02: Paris – Lyon – Avignon area (690km)

Today, we proceed to Lyon. On arrival, we go for an orientation city tour, viewing the Basilique Notre Dame, Place Bellecour, Cathedral and much more. Later, we head towards the gorgeous, historical town of Avignon. Enjoy a walking tour of the UNESCO-listed historic centre, which has served as the home of the Avignon Papacy for nearly 70 years, and many of the medieval stone structures related to this time remain, including the enormous Palais des Papes (Pope’s Palace) from outside. The fortified palace was home to seven popes before the papacy returned to Rome, and today serves as one of the city’s major attractions, where visitors can see the chapels and former papal residences. Other notable monuments in central Avignon include the 12th-century cathedral and the Hotel d’Europe (one of France’s oldest hotels), and a stroll along the Rhone River will take you to the remnants of the Medieval Pont d’Avignon bridge. Evening we check into our hotel for an overnight stop.

Day 03: Avignon – Grasse – Cannes – Nice – Monte Carlo (320km)

Today, after breakfast, we drive to Grasse to visit a French Perfumery to see a demonstration of how French perfumes are made. Later we drive along Cannes to proceed to Nice, where on our panoramic tour we see the main sights, including the Promenade des Anglais, a sea-front avenue, where you can take a leisurely stroll or have a swim in the sea. This afternoon, proceed for your Monte Carlo Tour. Later we drive to our hotel and check-in for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Nice – Pisa – Arezzo area (530km

Today we depart for Pisa, where we visit the Field of Miracles. Here you can marvel at the marble Cathedral in the Pisan Romanesque style, the Baptistery, and one of the wonders of the world, the legendary Leaning Tower. Later we continue our journey and check into our hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 05: Arezzo area – Rome – Arezzo area (460km)

Passing sunlit valleys of the Chianti wine country and ancient fortresses perched high on the hills, we reach the ‘Eternal City’. On arrival, we see the splendours of the Vatican City. Later, we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, a renaissance masterpiece. In the afternoon, we take in other ancient sights – Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, which was the political centre of the Roman Empire, Colosseum, Circus Maximus, and the spectacular Trevi Fountain, where you may make a wish. Late evening return to our hotel.

Day 06: Arezzo area – Venice (390km)

Today we depart for Venice. Our tour starts with a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square – the most elegant square in the world, to see the Bridge of Sighs, the Doges Palace and Basilica di San Marco. Here we also have a chance to watch the Venetian glass blowers at work and maybe buy a souvenir for the family, where we check into our hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Milan – Lugano – Lucerne – Zurich (540km)

Early morning, we depart for Milan, the cultural and economic hub of Italy. Here you have time to explore – see the famous Duomo (Cathedral), one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Italy, La Scala Opera House and the Castello Sforzesco. After lunch, we continue on the autostradas, before crossing the Swiss border, passing spectacular scenery around the lake regions of Como and Lugano. We take a brief photo stop near Lake Lugano, before driving north through the Gotthard tunnel. We continue our journey to Lucerne. Here view the Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge. Overnight in Zurich.

Day 08: Rhine Falls – Black Forest – Luxembourg (500km)

This morning first stop is at Schaffhausen in Switzerland, to see the picturesque Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest plain waterfalls. Leaving Rhine Falls continue to Swiss-German border. As you drive through the dense forest, we visit the famous Black Forest region of Southern Germany. Here stop at the Drubba Centre, in the heart of the forest, where you have a demonstration about the manufacturing and origins of the world-famous cuckoo clocks. You also have an opportunity to purchase these clocks and other souvenirs at specially reduced factory prices. Further continue north towards Luxembourg area for overnight stay. This evening we depart for the worlds only remaining sovereign Grand Duchy, Luxembourg. Here you have some free time to explore the centre of the capital city, Luxembourg.

Day 09: Luxembourg – Brussels – Calais – Ferry – Dover – UK (410km to Calais)

This morning we head towards Brussels. Here your orientation tour includes the Atomium structure (photo stop), a visit to the Grand Place as well as a stop to see the Mannekin Pis. In the early afternoon, you depart for Calais for the ferry crossing to Dover. Upon arrival, you proceed towards your destination. Your tour ends here and bid farewell to all friends you have made on the tour.
